Does anyone know if a Dearborn frontend loader off of a Ford 9N will fit my TO-30?

Dearborn's taken off an 8N/9N should work. You may need to make new mounting brackets for the back (but may not).

I read the posting about the loss of manuverability. If it is one of those that mounts to the rear under the fenders and then to the center of the case then you should not have a mobility problem. Just watch the control arms when the bucket is lowered. They will actually bend pretty easy (not a good thing since steering is kind of important). If the loader hits them on the way down you may be able to spread the arms out a bit to prevent it from hitting. If it is one that mounts from the rear to the front axle you will most likley lose mobility (enough to notice but not enough to keep you from using it). Since these are mounted outside the control arms you usually wont have an issue with them hitting. (Watch them the first time anyway) Good luck

I took a WM-3 loader (similar to Dearborn I think) off a 8N and installed it directly on a TO-30. The axles on those two are apparently the exact same distance apart. If the 9N and 8N are the same, which I believe they are, then I would say "yes" you can do it no problem. Now I do know that the NAA Ford is different from the 8N, and the TO-35 Fergie is different from the TO-30, but the 8N and TO-30 are the same. I can't imagine that the 9N is different from the 8N, but maybe the folks on the 8N-9N board would know for sure.

Having said all that, be mindful that a loader on any of these tractors which do not have power steering reduces maneuverabilty quite a bit. If you use the tractor for other stuff, you may be disappointed with how it operates with the loader installed. You can remove the bucket easily of course, but removing the loader is more task than most people want to do very often.
