Did the 1954 to-30 use wings on the front head lights? And did it use a tauras tail lamp that was painted all gray?

Steve, yes to both questions. Ferguson specified wings for all tractor model head lamps with round type as alternates for a couple of years. Your Taurus tail light was all gray, but a chrome bezel version came with the TO35. If you mount a work lamp in the back on the right side, then you should use a RH wing mount on the fender bracket and mount the light such that it is horizontal to keep the drain hole at the bottom. Then you will have a complete light set.
If you need more than join FENA which publishes a newsletter 5/yr and this next issue is on the light configurations of all Ferguson tractors in North America. If you need the address let me know.

Good day Steve.
As a recent purchaser of a TEA 20-85, 1955, I was on the search for lights. My searches led me to Lucas/Butler lights made in England. The TEA's were equipped optionally with 2 swingout side clearance light on the side of the engine cowl and a cyclops light on top at the front of the hood. The driver was then able to look right down the beam of light without shadows. This info was taken from the Ferguson Story by Stuart Gibbard (Old Pond publishing) Catalog # ISBN 1 903366 08 9

Respectfully Yours

Al.

Al and Steve,
Yes the English tractors in England used the Lucas light system as Al described, the cyclops and side lights. But the tractors, TE and TEA imported to North America used the Hall and Taurus(tail light)light kits designed for the TO20, with dual headlamps and identical work light(except with switch) and the Taurus tailllight, except fr the 12volt TEAs which used the Hall tail light which was designed for the 12volt 35s and 40s.

Steve, I misunderstood your description. Too big a hurry I guess. Anyway see my answer in the Ford forum. I now believe you have original lights but I have never seen the logo Hall II, but then I am always learning something new.

I just completed a research paper on Ferguson lights and I don't think what you have is original, but I am always ready for a surprise. Ferguson never used the snap-ring to hold in the sealed beam to the best of my knowledge and parts books I have reviewed. The snap-ring is a Ford design(among others I suppose) and Ford did use Hall lights so maybe that is what you have. Check with a Ford expert to double check.
