All,

Symptom: 3pt hitch seizes in the full up position
Model: T0-20
Year : unknown

When I am lifting my box (a bush hog weight of 550 lbs) and leave the box in full up position (with or without hydraulic pressure being applied) for more than 5 seconds it will seize there. To fix the issue I turn off the tractor, wait about 15-30 minutes, then the box will have dropped or will drop if I move the control arm.

Another interesting tidbit is if the box is near full up to get it to go down first upward motion is required.

Adding additional weight (bringing up total weight over 650lbs) only aggrivates the situation.

I created an immovable object (burried concrete ball attached to chain) and tried to "blow" the overpressure valve but the best I can do is the my baby to do wheelies :).

Any thoughts?

I agree with Scott. You probably need to slide the plate forward (after loosening the four bolts at the control). An 1/8" would be a lot to move it. I just finished doing some work on my lift. The last thing I did was to adjust the control and could not believe how sensitive it was...

Try this the control lever is mounted to the rear end housing with four bolts when it sticks in the up postion loosen these and move the plate. Proper adjustment lever should move 2 1/2 inches before implament starts to drop. good luck. Scott
