I am new to tractors for forgive me in advance. I purchased what I thought was a Massey Ferguson 35 and now I am wondering if it is a Ferguson TO-35. It was advertised as a Massey Ferguson 35 with the following serial #152912. It has both the Ferguson 35 plate and a Massey Ferguson 35 sticker on the hood (they are both on both sides).

The sticker that says Massy Ferguson looks new and the Ferguson 35 plate looks old. If you can help me out I would appreciate it. I can email you a picture if you would like.

Thanks,

Jon

tengo un Fe 35 del ano 1960.Es una maravilla.Lo he rehecho varias veces. Es mi tractior preferido en todas las labores del cultivo de la vid. No lo cambiaria por ningun tractor actual.dado su simpleza y economia
Saludos al que tenga uno de estas joyitas

scratch some paint on the engine block or any of the heavy iron. if you get green paint underneath then you do have a 55 to-35!

Jon, the SN would indicate you have a '55 Ferguson TO-35. Many dealers added the MF stickers to the hoods in later years to give the impression they were newer models than they acutally were. See the post on this same site just below, entitled "TO-35 vs. Mf 35 - how to they differ." That will answer some of your questions. If you were to join Ferguson Enthusiasts of North America (FENA) you could get a lot of other good information about your tractor. See other postings on this site on how to join FENA. Good luck with your tractor!
