What Joe said! The Standard model in decent shape (good tires, etc.) generally sells in my area for about $3K or maybe slightly more. A professional engine rebuild is maybe $1400, plus clutch if necessary. Not sure about price of new crank. You can do the math and see it isn't particularly a bargain at $800 if you plan to fix it. However, if you plan to part it out, and if the sheet metal is good, etc., you can come out on it pretty good. I would try to get it for $500 or so, if I planned to fix it.

Archie,

According to the serial number you included you are looking at a 1955 MF TO-35. I got Lucky and got one in great condition for $2K. Only the Deluxe modle has live PTO and Double clutch. The serial number you have is for a standard model. If the frame and tires are good it is probably worth $800.00 but if the crank is broke the tractor probably has led a hard life (possible future trans problems). If it is the contental 4 cylinder gas engine it will cost you several hunderd to rebuild it. If it is the desel model it will be more. Me personally, I would not give that much for something that could turn out to be a 1 ton paper weight. If you are looking for something to restore and you have the cash this may not be a bad deal. It would be a much sweeter deal if it was running.

Just my opinion. Thanks Joe
