My Sparex service manual indicates two contradictory specs, depending on what page I look at : .013" inlet and exhaust (hot), and another section indicates .012" exhaust hot, .010" inlet hot.
Looking up the specs on the YT site, I get .014" inlet and exhaust hot.
Can someone please give me a definitive answer?
A "cold" tappet clearance spec would be even better, if possible. Thanks.

Thanks to all for the feedback. With the weather we're having here in Québec, it will definitely be a very cold tappet clearance setting. Anyone think a Fergie will hold up to a 1500 mile drive down to Florida?

Thanks for the encouragement richard. I was thinking of installing slicks on the rear rims for better mileage, Any comments?
Fabien.

the correct tappet clearances fo the TEA engine are as follows:- .010" inlet and .012 Exhaust tappet clearances COLD. I was service engineer on the TE20 range so I can confirm that the clearances are as above

Fabien,
the specs that I have in my workshop manual are for the 85 and 80 mm bore:
tappert clearances (cold):
inlet 0.010 inch
exhaust 0.012 inch

Hope this is correct.

Regards,
Damon

The 0.014" on the ytmag site is for a different engine, so don't count on that spec.
