I have a neighbor interested in a ferguson TO-20 tractor that has been sitting on my place for over 20 years. The oil looks good and the engine is not frozen up. I haven't ever tried to get it going. He wants me to put a price on it but I don't know what a fair price would be. Any info would be appreciated.

If it ain't running, to a buyer it is a parts tractor, maybe $300 to $750 max if the tin is good. The buyer has to assume it has a cracked block or some such and needs a full overhaul, unless you can get it running and demo it. No one ever parks one because it is running TOO GOOD...! 20 years of sitting is a long time. These are $2000 tractors and a pro engine overhaul costs about $1400 (plus another hundred for a clutch which is probably rusted tight).

Depends on which model you have - over here a diesel version in 'off farm' condition that at least runs would be a minimum of 750 English pounds.

The petrol or petrol/TVO variants command slightly less, say 400 pounds, in running (startable) 'off farm' condition.

Mine started, ran on two cylinders, had no clutch, leaking rad, and cost 300 pounds.

Suggestion would be to get it running, and then sell it. But at the end of the day, a thing is only worth what someone will pay for it.
