Zane Thang a marvel!

I received the Zane Thang in the mail on Friday. I was surprised at how fragile it looked! This made me more curious than I was when I ordered it. I remained parked outside the post office and read through the installation instructions. It just seemed too simple and too good to be true. Although I had read many times on the Ferguson Discussion Board about how well the control device worked, I had to see it in action before I truly believed it would work. In the mean time, as fate would have it, it started snowing heavily at about 9PM that same night. By next morning we had over 2 feet of wet snow and it continued snowing during the rest of the day and throughout Saturday evening. Hard to believe that it was the last week of April but in this part of Canada (Calgary, Alberta), it can be warm as summer in January and we can have snow in summer. Anyway, I installed the Zane Thang on Saturday AM and started plowing snow shortly thereafter. The control device worked perfectly. Our part of the world was completely shut down for 2 days (including all major highways) because of the spring blizzard but my little Ferguson tractor and the Zane Thang more than met the challenge. My neck wasn't even sore in the morning!
The Zane Thang is pure genius. Someone should get Mr. Sherman working on the shuttle program.

Greetings,
Can you tell me what it cost you in CDN funds to purchase the Zane Thang? I live in Québec and own a '54 TEA 20. Thanks,
Fabien.

Zane's asking price, shipping costs to Calgary included, was $107.50 U.S.
Today, if you went to the Bank of Montreal and purchased a money order for this amount in Canadian funds, you would pay $149.10 Canadian.
When the parcel arrives at your friendly Canada Post office, the feds will also charge you about $5 Cdn. duty charges.
If you are apprehensive about spending the money, you will change your mind the first time you lower your 3 pt. implement and it stops and stays exactly where you want it to. Once it is set for where you want it for the particular job you are doing, it returns to the same spot every time you lower the implement, time after time. Almost too good to be true!
Hope this helps. Bienvenue!

The fergy positioner is a heap cheaper then that. I only paid $70.00 US for mine and it works fantastic. I had my kit posted out from Australia and had it in a fortnight. The thing is a very nice neat kit and works fantastic

Niether inventor is getting rich...
I looked into both devices before I decided to buy. My choice to purchase the Zane Thang was in part to support my neighbor to the south. I hope both suppliers make a few bucks along the way.
If some pacific rim "knock-off" to the Zane Thang showed up for $25, I'd still go south with my money.
