I have a very nice running TEA-20 with the standard engine that is getting water in the crankcase, tractor runs fine, no smoke, no white smoke, looking for ideas as to where the water is comong from, thanks.

It could be from the cylinder head gasket, or a cracked block.

Is it a lot of water (milky oil), or just a bit of condensation? If condensation, it'll be the weather - if milky, something more serious. Try a pressure test on the cooling system to see if you get a pressure drop, or drop the sump and do a pressure test to see if you get drips from inside the block. Do you have to top up your coolant or not?

My TED (Standard engine) head was totally shot when I got it - but it never produced white smoke, trouble was down to the cyl head not being torqued down properly - one stud between cyls 2 and 3 was stripped - and this was enough to cause trouble when hot - coupled with the worn valve guides, it only ran on 2 cyls.

If you have kept the antifreeze levels right over the winter, it shouldn't be a cracked block, so I'd check the head gasket first - if you have a petrol/TVO engine, you will need to buy two head gaskets, as there is a metal plate between the two gaskets to reduce the compression ratio.

Beware - it is possible to fit the head gaskets incorrectly and block the oil feed to the rockers/valves - so BE CAREFUL.

It could be from the gaskets between the cylinder sleeves and the block.
(The cylinders are removable and sit down on gaskets at the bottom of the water jacket.)
If this is it unfortunately you are in for a fair bit of work, as it means head removal, and pistons and connectiong rods out. Then once you're in there in won't be worth it not to check out main and big end bearings, and on it goes.
If it is not too major it might be worth it to just put in your favourite stop-leak solution.
