I have found parts of a pick up hitch at my girlfriends farm. I have the Hook, brackets and one drop arm but no T-bar. There is also a plate that the hook lifts up against (not sure if its original though). Does anyone have a diagram they could send me or pics so I can find the rest/fabricate new parts or know of a good pick on the internet except for the one on the Holland-Brand website as i have already looked at that.

Regards
Ross

I can take a digital pic of the T bar as I have one lying in my garage at the moment and can give also give you measurements from it. Other parts are either with it or with tractor. Should be able to get picture of T bar at least tonight. It sounds like you have everything except T bar.

Thanks David, I could also do with a pic of the two drop arms cause i think the ones i have are bent. Also is there supposed to be a plate for the hook to come up against to stop the trailer bouncing off or does the hook come up against the bottom of the trailer???

Thanks
Ross

In David's absence - the hook on my PUH comes up close to a steel plate roughly 4 inches square, with a slight wave in it whic is bolted under the tractor - at the tractor rear end of this plate is a 1 inch stub of 3/4 round bar (roughly speaking on the sizes) which points downwards.

When the hitch is 'locked' the hook allows the drawbar eye some movement (not a tight grip) and the 1 inch stub on the plate prevents the drawbar eye from escaping from the hitch.

Partly because my locking mechanism isn't that good, and partly for 'better safe than sorry' I always insert the locking pin through the hooking bar.

I've sent a picture top Ross by email as I don't know how to post it on here. If anyone else wants the info just email me at: d dot mclean at ntlworld dot com. Hitch plate that James mentions is similar to the one I have but mine doesn't have the pin sticking down. Hook comes up through a sort of half moon type cut out that stops trailer jumping off.

Thanks Guys, Davids pick is a great help. I'm considering buying the missing bits from holland-brand but their T-bar doesn't seem to have the spring loaded pin. I'll see

Thanks again
Very grateful

Ross
