From memory, the half shafts on the TE series were 'beefed up' after serial number 200,000, this was to prevent what happened to yours, happening. Is it possible that your TE is (like mine) an early one ie pre SN 200,000 that has the leaner, slicker (and weaker) half shaft? Perhaps you need to be looking for an early donor vehicle - I don't know how any conversion to different shafts/housing would go . . . . .sorry. If it helps, I can point you in the direction of some knowledgable types over here in the UK - at least you could email them . . . . You could try battelle@btinternet.com (Old 20 Parts Co.) for starters, or www.belltractors.com (or maybe its bell-tractors.com) in Ireland, or www.holland-brand.co.uk may be able to help. I suspect there is an age/design level thing going on here, and that you will need to be very careful before you try to 'mix and match' parts. It could be an expensive experiment if you don't get some decent advice. JMO
