Where did you buy the new gas tank for your 35? Was it set to recieve the fuel bowl assembly and were the holes to mount it correct? Thanks

Hello; I just obtained a to-35 from my fathers & uncle's estates; the rear fender brackets are rusted off, leaving jagged protrusions; I have the old fenders with skins, but have yet to find any brackets; i am new to tractor parts search and would like to keep the tractor as close to original as posible. Your help is appreciated in advancee. Tom

The supplier I got my first tank from went out of business....there are 3 grades of the tanks...like factory....aftermaket knock off....and china cheapo...in that order...the price went up quite a bit when the knock offs went out of business ( sorry just found this out today when I ordered one for a customer)
The one I sent you info on in the above post is double welded and double stamped....the others are not..

Not TO-35Man, I know, but these people sell both the petrol, and petrol/TVO tanks.

See this page of the link, or if it fails, look under the panels and wings section of the site, page 2

There must be a more local supplier to you, though. Pushing 150 pounds seems a lot of money.

None of the suggested repairs worked, then, or was the tank on its way out, no matter what?

TO-35Man and James, Thanks alot. I temporarily fixed with JB weld. After I sanded the old stuff off I found a 1 1/2" crack. Will order a new tank. That old Fergie is going to be around a lot longer than that tank. Thanks again.
