My dad is restoring what we believe to be a 1949 TO-20.(serial #14107)
It is painted grey and has round headlights. Are these both characteristics of the 1949 TO-20? Most Furgesons he sees are red and at first believed that his was a 1948. Any information anyone can offer would be great.

MY TO WAS ALSO PAINTED RED. IF YOU WILL SCRAPE AWAY A SMALL AREA OF PAINT, MY GUESS IS THAT YOU WILL FIND GRAY UNDERNEATH. MINE IS A 1950 TO AND I ALSO HAVE ROUND UN-SEALED HEADLIGHTS. I, ALSO, AM NEW TO THE FERGUSON TRACTOR RETORATION BUT IM LEARNING A LOT OFF OF THIS SITE. IT SEEMS I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THE FERGUSON WAS COINED "THE GRAY
MENACE"

if there is an opening for an air filter on the dash, it's a TO_30, if not its a TO-20.

You have a 1949 model made late in the year. The color is all Grey. Red came later on different models.

The ID plate is just infront of the steering column. I presume this is where you got the SN.

To further verify the T)-20 look at the left side of the engine you will have a Continental Z120 engine. The Z120 will be cast into the block.

Round unsealed lights in the front are the correct configuration. Do you have tail lights? The tarus red tail light is rare to find.

Have fun.
