Just got my first tractor, a Massey 65. I went to the tractor store looking for something a little smaller. Talk about timing, I'm walking around the lot not really excited about what I am seeing. In drives the del. truck with a older tractor on the back. As soon as I seen her, I want her, bad. Of course it must be a machine coming in for servicing, it couldnt be for sale, but wait, it's a trade in ! The same implement company sold her new in 64 to the same folks who were trading it in. It has to be some kinda karma thing. The salesman was thrilled, he never even had to unload it from the truck till he got to my house. The tractor needs nothing, not a dent anywhere, just the right color of faded. $5300 bucks, about twice what I wanted to spend, but with a brand new 7 foot backblade thrown in. The first day or so I owned her I was wondering if maybe I paid too much, I can answer my own question now as I wouldnt sell it for 1500 more.
What I would like to know is how much the tractor sold for in 1964 ? It's a gas job with power steering. I can't wait to use the machine for something other then giving me a huge smile.
Thanks Bob "Badger" Bruzek
