John in the UK
Just thought it might be a good evaluation of control valve. It's been an hour and it has just now made it to ground. Don't think there is much leak by.
Thx. in advance.

Al.

The control valves on the TO and TE tractors do not have any load on them unlike the 35 tractors, the control valve works on the suction side of the pump, the load is carried on the valves in the side chambers and the poppet valve on the end of the relief valve or on tractors with modified rear axles, they have a poppet valve in the pump on its own and the relief valve was moved to ram cover. It sounds as though your hydraulic system is in perfect condition, even when new some didnt stay up so long.

If it stays up 3 mins its ok...but why would you need it to stay up, if its not being used there is no need for it to stay up you have more chance of the control valve sticking leaving it parked liked that. Really as long as it can lift and lower and its capable of controlling the depth of any soil engaging implements its fine. There is no actual time given for this as it will vary depending on the load it is carrying.
