Thanks Jerry for the info, but I've searched all over this site including an extended parts search and YT doesn't offer spark plugs for sale. I suspect I've got the wrong plugs. Does anyone own a similar tractor with the proper spark plug that could help me? Thanks

Wayne,
I did not see your original post so I do not know if this has been asked but I thought 48 was the first year for the TO-20 and I see you have used 47 TO-20. Is there a 47 TO-20??
Thanks WJ NY

W.J.NY,
My error, I believe you are right about TO-20 production starting in '48. Wayne

I have a '47 TE20, and mine are also D21. You might want to check your serial number. The TO20 wasn't made until '48. If My info is correct, You either have a '47 TE20 or a '48 (or later) TO20.

Mike, Thanks for the correction. I was told by the previous owner that it was a '47 TO-20. I checked my listing of serial numbers and you are right that the TO-20 production started in '48. My listing also says that TE-20's started production in '48 also. Confusing?

Wayne, You might also try Autolite 437's. they are apparently a bit hotter than the normal plug

Champion D 16 would be the normal plug. D 21 would be hotter if you need that. Copper core wires work good if you have points ign.

Thank You, Jerry and Duner for your help. I knew that I had the wrong plugs because they had tapered seats. There's a lot of little things that need correcting, but that's half the fun of owning these old tractors. This message board has been a great source of info. Thanks again.
Wayne

Since you asked, I just went to the tractor shed and checked what mine has. I have D21 champions and they do a good job.
