.010 gasket material?

Does anyone know of a source for gasket materal that is exactly 0.010" thick? This is used between the axle trumpets and the differential housing, and has to be the right thickness to set the play in the differential bearings.
But please don't offer "try such and such a place" if you don't know that they have it. I have tried lots of places already and it is not a standard thickness; it is much thinner than usual gasket material. These gaskets are no longer available through my local MF dealer; they only have them for the later models which have a different diameter of axle trumpet.
I would also be happy to make my own out of something suitable if anyone has suggestions of 0.010" thick material. My cereal box is 0.020" so that won't work...
Thanks,
Jim

I found some .010 material at KINECOR in Montreal for my model engines. 514-333-7000 and they order it from GARLOCK PACKING AND SERAL, 866-458-7325. Good luck, Nick

jim i dont think these will fit mine either. i know the 010 is suppose the set ring gear side play but with 50 plus years wear if i couldnt just use a silicone gasket maker and not put to much pressure against ring gear. it might actually compensate for this wear .i guess i will have to get it apart and see.let me know how u make out and if u actually find the correct part and where

I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, but we use brass and steel shim stock that is EXACTLY .010" thickness... could you use the brass stock & seal with gasket sealer??? Hope this helps!!!

Yes this may be the answer. More of a pain to make I guess with all the bolt holes but at least I can get the right thickness.
Thanks,
Jim

hey jim im getting ready to pull the trumpet on mine after doing my clutch i was given some at my dealer for to20 and told they would work .im not sure yet though. they measure 010. but they look like they have no compession if tightened.i wonder if a differant material would compress to 010 after torqued?my lower 3 pt arm is leaking on mine. after splitting tractor for a clutch not disengaging i found the pilot bearing froze up and turning input shaft to trans let me know how you make out my e mail is in your guest book

Were you given the material, or the gaskets pre-cut? If pre-cut could you tell me their outside diameter? Thanks,
Jim
