Afternoon Everyone

A quick question if I may. Right after I bought my Tractor ,in 1999,I decided to change the plug wires. At the time I bought an " off-the rack set"
When I got them home and went to put them onI noticed that they were not the same as the original ones. My question to you all, What type of wires do I need to put on as replacement ones. Any thoughts. Again its a TEA-2085,, Thanks a ton Barry

Barry: I got a set from an MF dealer. They were copper wire core type with the name "Heritage" on the bag. But they had to be cut to fit at the distributor end to fit and then metal clips and rubber caps put on. It wasn't hard, and they worked great.

On my TO I use Packard 440 copper core wire. I think the wire are over 30 years old now and I can hose tractor off and it starts right up. Supposed to be the good for points type ign. This address may be able to help.

The originals would have a central copper wire conductor. The modern leads have a carbon centre for supressing interference. Here in the U.K. you can still buy the copper cored lead by the yard, or should I say metre!
