Restoration After a Fire Question

I found an old Ferguson that has recently been in a fire - it went up with an old shed. I have not looked close, but I think it is a TO-30. It is scalled pretty good and the tires are burnt to to the rims. My question is - has anyone restored such a tractor in this condition? What would be a good offer and is it worth making an offer?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Bill , I have restored 1 partially and 1 totaly burt fergies..a 30 and 35...It can be done but you will have many more parts to replace ie...seals ,gaskets and wires and switches depending on how it burned...I also had to spend more time preping the metal parts thati did not replace....most all th eternal parts will be ok...again depending on how it burned....I gave 300 for the 30 and 150 for the 35 both sold for 4000 after I completed them....both belong to good friends of mine and both are still in service...without actually seeing the tractor I can not recommend a offering price....look it over good and make a list of things you think you'll need...then price them and add 20% and thats close to what you'll have in it...I had less than 2500 in the 30 and same in 35.
It will take you a little more time restoring a burnt one so be prepaired for that...having a sandblaster is a big plus also....

Hope this answers your question somewhat...
if you need anymore info. post back...

Best wishes

Well I took another look at this thing and it is an 8N - and pretty well burned to a crisp.

Thanks for the info,
Bill
