third party image

Just trying to see if I can upload an image to this message. The photo is of one of two Ferguson wagons (early '50's) and 1955 TO-35 we have that my grandfather bought new and farmed with in NW Iowa. If it doesn't show here, I posted it in the implement photo section of this site. It is a W-JO-22 and the corn box was built by Hi-Lo Equipment Co., Columbus, NE. Still use it for general hauling every now and then.

Are the hydraulics on the trailer run off the tractor?

Just curious...

Matt - Yes, on this wagon the hydraulics come off the tractor. There is a fitting with a valve on the lift cover under the left side of the seat and a single hose to the cylinder. It raises using the draft lever, comes down (slowly in cold weather) by gravity. Mike P

John - Thanks for the compliment. Those are soybeans. The picture was taken last September before harvest. Last year wasn't the best for beans in that area. No rain in August made for short beans and low yields. Mike P

Mike,

Great picture! Very nice Ferguson items and super background...beautiful. You may have a second career in photography when you get tired of flying. You also have a real treasure in those implements particularly since they were used by your grandfather. I'm sure you don't get back to Iowa as often as you would like but it must be a thrill when you do.

Best wishes,

Joe

Joe - Thanks! Yes, I would like to be able to get back there more often. Mandatory retirement for pilots at 60, which won't be too many years from now, so I'll be able to spend more time with the 35 and implements then. Doubtful I'll get many photographer job offers, though! Mike

Mike; Good picture. And a good box wagon will always come in handy. And I knew those were beans in the background. How are prices going to be for this year.
