I am in the process of setting up my dearborn loader on my Fergie and reading through the pappers on it there is a note to change out the relief valve to the "Special" relief valve. I have just put my pump back together and replaced the valve with (what I am sure is) the standard valve. Question is, what is the difference between the "Special" and standard?
Thanks to all!
Lee

I've never heard of a special valve. The standard valve is set to 2,200psi; perhaps the special is set even higher. Don't use a Ford relief valve, they are set to 1,700psi.

Ray,
I had not either until reading the info on the loader. They do look different the "Special" has the shank where the 11/16" wrench fits all the way to the end of the valve. I bought a replacement and it appears to be more like the original one in the picture?
