What are the differences between the TO-20, TO-30, and TO-35 tractors? By the way, is it TO (T followed by the letter "O") or T0 (T followed by the number zero)? Do they all have live hydraulics? Is the 35 the only one with live PTO and did all 35's have live PTO? What are the differences in weight and HP? Was the 35 the only one retained when they joined with Massey? Enough questions, can't wait to hear your answers!
Thanks, Danny

I purchased a Ferguson tractor over the weekend and am the third owner. He did not have any manuals and I am wanting to find out if it is a TO-20 or a TO-30 and possibly the year model. The serial number is TO-23345. Can you help please?

Thanks
Ozzy

How do you tell if the tractor is a TO or TE? I found a number tag on the block that reads 118195.

Just inherited a TO35 that we use on the family farm. TO stands for "Tractor Overseas" as fergusons were produced in England. This is why you will also see TE35 As in Tractor European which are different but I'm not sure what. We used to have a TO30 and they looked mainly the same (no I never set them side by side) the main reason we sold it for the TO35 was the live power takeoff as I was told without it the brushhog would keep pushing you. I'm on the net trying to find out info on it, I'm going to order a operators manual. Don't order the I&T Manual it covers 10 different models and its maybe 3/16" thick.

Danny... It's great when new (and I assume Young) fellas come on and ask the very rudimentary questions.... The TO (and it's the letter O)followed the TE20 which was made in England by the Standard Motor Company at the same time Ford was building Ferguson's little tractor over here. TE stands for Tractor made in England and TO stands for Tractor made Overseas. Both the TE20 and the TO20's had Continental Z120 engines. Then the TO30 came along next with a Z129 engine followed by the TO35 and it had a Z134 engine. The later 35's had dual clutch live PTO option in the TO35 Deluxe model. Feel free to E-mail me anytime. Watch the Yahoo Ferguson Club also...
