Found a delco remy alt. in my dad's basement, checks out electrically. Use a alum. combination a/c alt. bracket from a 1985 olds, turning the bracket upside down, cutting in half, with spacers it mounts to the orginal generator holes. Problems, alt number is not a 10si, numbers on this one are 110845A61A, with numbers below of 9028. Also does not have numbers 1 or 2 for the elect. spade connectors, but letters R and F. Can I use this alt.? What is the correct elct. hookup for this alt.? What would be ideal would be to veiw a elctrical diagram of a 12 converson, with a voltmeter. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Morning Allan

I just had my alternator fixed yesterday. The place where I took it reto-fitted it to a 1 wire. Simplest thing I ever seen in my life. It cost me $95 in canadien funds. 1 wire that goes straight to the positive side of the battery. Could life be any simpler. Just my 2 cents worth,, Barry

Hi allan. If you'll check this site in the archives there is a wealth of information. There's always the 1 wire set up as well as diagrams for the set up you're talking about. Hope this helps, Good luck, have fun!!
