Morning Everyone. A few nights back I decided to change my oil pressure gauge. It had moisture under the glass. A week prior I had put on a new ammeter gauge, and I wanted the 2 to look the same. Anyway while I was taking off the oil line on the back of the original gauge I broke the line, it was very brittle. My question is this. I have a freind in the hydrualic hose business, would a hydraulic line the size of the oil line that was on it work. He can get all the fittings I need and this way he said that you dont have to worry about bending the line into place when I put it back on. any thoughts?

Sure I think it would work. One thing I would suggest is to put a right angle fitting right at the back of the gauge so the line doesn't have to make a sharp bend there to avaoid the battery.
I don't think the diameter matters, pressure is pressure; it's not flow.
