TO-30 Looking for 2 Pushrods not-so-bent

It was time to replace a head gasket & fix the low oil presssure, but I found a couple of bent pushrods once the head was off.
Does anyone have 2 pushrods available for a TO30?
I'm not sure but TO20 pushrods might fit - Can one of the experts verify that?

In the meantime, I'm having a grand time cleaning off the red/silver paint & rust to get the old girl back to a natural Ferguson gray. Thanks to all for the good advice you all put on this forum.

Trywww.montesequipment.com. They specialize in Continental Engine parts. The heads are not interchangeable between the Z120 and the Z129. The valves are diffenent between the two engines. However the pushrods are the same for all the TO's and the TE's.

Hi Patrick,
Maybe you can help me with this subject. When I pulled the head off my TO30, it was stamped with Z120a-601 Since the block was stamped Z129, I figured the head was off a TO20. At that time, (several years ago) I asked about this on this board and was informed that they indeed were interchangable. Maybe the valves are a different size, but all I know is what it says and that it all worked. Maybe I didn't have as much power as it could have had; I had nothing to compare it to. The block at that time was damaged beyond repair, so it never got back together, and the tractor is still patiently waiting to be re-incarnated.

Regards,
Chuck

Chuck, The numbers you see are probably the casting numbers and I guess that the castings could be the same, but the intake valves are a different size, 1.010-1.020 " for the -20 and 1.273-1.283" for the -30. the exhaust valve face angles are slightly different also. The factory manual makes a point to say that the TO-30 head cannot be used on the TO-20 or the TE-20.

Patrick

The pushrods are the same for a TO20 TO30 TE20 TO35 F40 MH50 and others with Zi34 continental.
Massey part# 1750058M1 I believe they are still available from Massey.

Patrick,

I'm sure you can get good used ones from Mac Tractor Parts (1-800-882-4742)

Hi Patrick,
Well, I'm sure no expert, but I can tell you that my TO30 (Z129) had a TO20 head on it. When I tore it down several years ago, I remember someone on this board telling me that the heads were indeed interchangeable. So I can ASSUME the pushrods are the same. Maybe someone with more experience than me can verify that.

Good Luck,
Chuck

Per the Ferguson Manual, the z120 and the z129 heads are not interchangeable!

Patrick OR;

You could try NAPA. I think that is where my mechanic picked one up.
