Yesterday, I put my "new" Fergie in the driveway. My mechanic friend was keen to see if she'd turn over but we couldn't get a response from the starter so its now at the repair shop. I was told it would cost about $250 Cdn to convert it to 12 volt, so they're going to check it out to see what it will cost to leave it a working 6 v. I'm thinking if its a lot less to keep it a 6v starter on a 12 v system - that's what I'll do. Any thoughts or opinions?
