Nicholsons of Newark were implement manufacturers and didn't build tractors. The seat you have probably came off an old horse drawn hayrake or similar implemet, it will not have been fitted to your tractor as standard. These seats can be worth quite a bit, depending on rarity. I'd sell it and buy a correct Ferguson seat out of the proceeds.

I've seen similar seats on e-bay sell for just under 100 GBP - it all depends on how rare they are and, of course, the demand. I think e-bay would be your best bet or you could advertise in a magazine such as Tractor & Machinery. Good luck,
Regards,
Peter.

On e-bay seats usually come up under Collectables, agriculture/industrial There was one about a week ago from a firm in Glasgow, I can't remember the name which made about #100GBP.
Regards,
Peter.
