From information provided from this web site, I have a TO20, serial # TO52439, making it a 1951 model. I have had the tractor for several years and have now decided to find out what the paint colors should be. Currently the hood, seat, and both fenders are red with the remaining tractor grey. It appears to be the orginal paint or a very early repaint, like 40 to 50 years ago. I have talked to a local Massey dealer who remembers that the TO20 tractors were all grey escept for the engine which was a dark hunter green color. He also recalled that when Massy aquired Furgeson that many dealers repainted thier stock tractor Furgeson tractors the new Massey color scheme and some owners brought their tractors in to be repainted. He believes this is case with mine. Can anyone confirm this and share any other additional information. Thanks for responding.

TO-20s and TO-30s were gray with the following exceptions: generator and distributor were matte black as was the radiator. Rear rims were gray on the TO-20 and silver on the TO-30. Tje cemter disks and the front rims were gray also.

The gray used on sheet metal of early TO-35s was a different gray than found on the TO-20/30s. It was slightly darker with more of a blue cast than the paint used on the 35.

There were no green bellies on either of these. Early TO-35s had them, however.

Good matches for the TO-20/30 gray are Sherwin Williams 1337 and NAPA 10039.

Thanks for the Information. I have since I posted my original question looked over the red painted sections of the tractor alittle closer while the tractor was outside in bright sunlight. I have found scratched areas and it appears that there is a gray color under the red paint. Have you heard of this practice of repainted TO20 to the newer Massey Fergeson paint scheme? I have heard that Case did this to the SC and DC models. Dave

My to20 also has the Massey look. Nearly as I can tell they were gray on gray. There are some good pics in the photos on this site. I think the green engine may have been one of the diesels. Good luck, have fun!!
