I own a 1951 ted20, recently the hydralic lift has started to fail, previously the tractor was able to hold the linkbox for weeks without any drop in height, but now it takes only a few minutes for the linkbox to drop from full height. The oil level is about two inches above the full level on the dipstick, as i do not have sufficient tractor knowledge any help would be greatfully recieved. would this oil level affect the hydralic pressure, or is this a case of the pump failing. thankyou.

Well if it holds up for 10 minutes its ok 15 and its brilliant...but if the pump isnt running and its dropping it wont be the pump, there will be a leak somewhere...If the leak is bad and it drops less than 10 mins. email me at fergusontractors at hotmail dot com and I will send you a help sheet on what to look for and what to check check...
