I'm new to this site and was wondering if some of the experienced folks out there could give me some advice. We are in the process of overhauling the z134 engine in our 1955 TO-35. We had a local shop install all new valves but upon return noticed the new exhaust valves did not have a hole in the end of the stem like the originals. The shop claims that due to improved metal composition the "caps" are no longer necessary and to assemble the engine without them. Have any of you had this problem? Is the shops claim true? Thanks for your help.
