I bought a temperature gage from NAPA ($20) but found one from Auto Zone later ($17). NAPA gage had a sweep of 90 degrees. Auto Zone gage had a 270-
degree sweep, which I like better. It was not difficult to coil the extra 2’ and tie it out of harms way behind the regulator mount on MF 35.

The Auto Zone part number is CO 8027. The name on the face of the gage is Sunpro. Manufacturer is Action Manufacturing Co. of Cleveland, Ohio. Web site www.Sunpro.com which was no help.

Bought a full set (temp, oil, amps) at Harbor Freight for my working TO30. Needed lighted gauges for night work. Fit right in. Only difference is the trim is black not chrome like originals. Saved my originals in case someone wants to restore someday. Cost less than $20 for the whole set. Good to go for a working tractor, and saves the originals for when you decide to turn Fergie into a trailer queen.

I just looked up the Sparex number S.04341. My catalog shows it has a 6 foot cable. The TO's only need about 4 feet so you are into winding and hiding - higher risk of collapsing the tube. I also need a guage for my TO-30 so will look at the Tisco model as I'm looking for close to the right length tube. Maybe the specs in the Sparex catalog are incorrect but it lists a lot of Massey models but not the TO's.

I don't know how a guage from a MF35 will work on a TO-20. But, I'd say even if it does work... you will probably pay too much. As you can tell, I don't think much of Agco's attempts to service TO's. I installed a temp. guage on my TO20 last year, I got it at TSC. It was a Tisco brand, the box said it was for a Ford N, NAA,600, or 2000. It was a perfect fit! No extra bushing needed, the tubing was just the right length. I did not have a temp. guage originally, had to cut a hole in the dash... another excuse to buy a new tool!

Auto parts stores, and stores like TSC also sell "generic" temp. guages. They come with a bunch of bushings to work with a lot of configurations. They will work, but the ones I saw have way more capillary tubing than you need. You would have to coil it up to keep it under control.
I'm guessing you already know the temp. guage bulb installs in the port with the big brass plug on the side of the coolant manifold between the block and the radiator. Make sure the the lip on the bottom of that port is clean, that's where the bulb actually seals. Good luck!

The original part number for a temp gauge that will fit was 881-396M91, you can get one from your SPAREX Stockist part number S4341 and you may even get it on this site (top of the page and click on H.Ferguson)
