I recently came across a TO-30 that was in very good condition and from the outside looked like everything was original or if replaced, then with OEM parts. It had the battery cover, light set and wired correctly and on and on. What really intrigued me about this tractor was that the hood had the Ferguson name painted in Ferguson blue script on each side of the hood top, one side the mirror image of the other. The letters were very large nearly covering the hood top space. The dealer who took the tractor on a trade did not know the origin, but it looked like it was original or close to origninal time period of tractor. The serial number was in the 120,xxx. range so it was a late model 30. My question to the forum folks is: Is this a dealer prep or was it done for a series or ??? Is there any value added to the tractor? The dealer wants a pretty penny for the tractor because it is in such original configuration.

I have a TO30 in excellent shape except for the paint. The sheet metal is all straight and apparently has never been painted because the Ferguson Logo you describe is still faintly visible. I noticed on one of the links that the replacement decal is available.

I believe you may be describing a logo someone put on the SIDE of the hood, not he top. The logo I am talking about is very large letter paint, not a decal. Decals were not used on the 30, the Ferguson 30 emblem mounted on each side of the hood was metal and is available.

To clarify my description of the hood logo, I have put a picture in the Galleries section on the left side of this site under Parts and Pieces. I also included a pic of a battery cover for some people expressing interest.

Howdy Phil--Looking at the pictures you posted, mine appears to be nearly identical, but the graphic is an inch or two lower on the top of my hood than yours. I"m in Troutdale Ore. and since you"re in WA it"s possible they may have come from the same dealer or factory run. I"m curious if any original Ferguson factory or sales people ever contribute to help sort this stuff out.

Well, it is interesting there is another one out there or close to it. I will try the Ferguson Club of North America. We have about 400 members and maybe someone will recognize this paint job and give the conditions generating it.

The "Ferguson" Script on the top sides of my hood is several inches tall and extends I'm guessing 18"-24" along the lower edge of the hood on both sides. It is weathered but it is blue and white, large and not particularly attractive. It isn't an emblem. It resembles a large script decal of the same colors offered by one of the tractor supply houses. When I'm home next I'll dig out the web address and post it along with the script measurements off of my tractor.
