Hello,
I have a TO20 tractor and am just starting to go thru the whole drive train and engine. I was wondering where to get the seal for the governor shaft, trans input shaft and the gaskets that go between the transmission and the rear end. I have looked thru this site and many others without any luck finding them. I haven’t checked the MF dealer as the closest one in my area is about 50 miles away and don’t have the time to drive there if they don’t have them or cant get them. The dealer I called only seems to want me to come down and check out some of his equipment before I go and put money into the old one. I inherited this tractor from my father who inherited it from his father and there is no way I want to part with it.

When searching for parts or gaskets on this site have you tried the extended parts catalog? There is a link for this at the bottom of the parts page. I have found a number of TO-20 gaskets in this way and they were quite reasonable. In the extended section there is a place that you can put in the part number and search. You could also call the telephone number listed in that section and ask them directly if they can get them. Their number is 360-344-4221. I have also purchased MF parts through my local auto parts store. If you can find the right place and the right guy they can usually get them.

It's probably just as easy to cut your own gaskets and get generic seals. Seals come in standard sizes; if you measure your inside and outside diameters and width, a bearing shop will be able to fix you up. Better yet, you may be able to get the numbers off the old seals and order those or cross reference to them.
I have a (fairly) local place that gets me in bearings and seals and I don't get any of that stuff through MF anymore.
