Barry Did you ever paint your ferguson or restore it, just curious cause after blowing the timing chain, govenor weight assemly and timing case like you did I decided to repaint. If so where did you get the paint.

Thanks Bill

Hello again Bill. When I had the tractor apart to fix the timing chain I decided to redo the coil ( new ) distributor cap, points ( new ) The coil I bought had on the back of the package, 12 volt coil without series resistance. When I put this new coil on it got rid of the little white porcelin thing under the battery. I put on a new re-built alternator, with a voltage meter in the line. While it was apart I painted what I could. She looks and runs better now than it did when it was new. Well saying that. I wasnt around when it was new. But she sure does run better now then when I 1st got her. I took of the rad and took it to town to the car wash, high pressure water,, you cant imagine what came out of the old rad for krud. It was amazzing. Like I said in the e-mail from earlier today. I painted it with Ferguson grey from TSC Hardware. If your ever in my neck of the woods look me up

Good Luck Barry

This is from the Friends of Ferguson Heritage in the UK. From their list your Brother in law's tractor is a 1954.
