Crazy Canuck I went to the TSC store and found the putty I was talking about. Havn't tried it yet, luckily the crack on my block isn't too bad and I probably could just leave it.
Cheers

I have a cracked block in my 20-85, as well. Used JB Weld on part of it, which seems to be working well. There was an old weld, which also was leaking, so my surprise, so I used a block sealer called Silver Seal "Heavy Duty Ironized Block SEal", $10.00 at the local machine shop. It seems to have stopped the leak, and I also had a pin hole in the block plug at the rear of the heat, from the sandblaster used when I had a valve job, I think. The stuff sealed the pin hole in a flash too...here's hoping...

I used TSC paint on my Case, and found it took a long time to dry, and faded fast. I used Sherman Williams auto paint, with hardener, on the Ferguson, and it really did very well; dried to touch in an hour, and you had to work at making it run; it's damn near too shiny for a tractor, lol, but it is expensive, about $125/gallon w/o hardener and reducer.

Regards,

George H

Barry The block has been cracked for quite awhile all it it seems to do is get wet but to no extreme, I bought some of the Tex Weld stuff but I don't know if I'm going to screw around with it. Yep picked up the paint MF red and MF metallic grey, the tractor as it stands now is those colours. But what I should have done was buy the larger can of reducer, now I'm finding out the TSC stores are the only one selling the product. It's a long drive out to Bowmanvile don't suppose they would ship any would they. Oh well.....

Cheers
