While doing a valve job on my 1950 Ferguson TO20 I noticed that the letters "STD" was stamped on top of the piston. On top of the sleeve was two numbers. WS219 and 0174. When I purchsed the tractor at an estate auction the son thought years ago that the tractor was overhauled with larger piston and sleeves. What does the number represent?

Wayne...the"STD." means standard size. As for the numbers on the sleeve, they're probably batch numbers, or something like that, to assure they are all within the same tolarance. Maybe someone knows more than I...Good luck, have fun!!
