What you wiil need for your TO30 is the Speedy Sleeve. It fits over the worn grove on the axle.

i tried installing sure seals in my to30 this summer and it didn't work out. the 30 has an inner and outer axle seal and the sure seals interfere with the inner seal. some people advertise sure seals for to30's but i think they were designed for the ford guys and might work ok on a to20 but not a to30. this has been my experience with them.

I installed aftermarket steel/rubber seal"s on my TE20 about 12 yrs ago and I"m pretty sure they were the sure seals. The axel slid right through them without having to do any major bearing R&R. Was concerned the bearings would wear out since the sure seals blocked oil from getting to them so I packed them with some auto bearing grease and they seem to be doing fine. I haven"t had a drop of oil on the brakes since. Brakes had never worked very well before and after I stopped the leaks and redone the brakes I can spin the TE20 on a dime, to either side!
