Afternoon Everyone
Well the darndest thing happend. I posted a few days ago regarding the high idle speed when I started the old girl up. I had her over to a buddy's place, We were fabricating a front plow ( more on that later and with picture no less ) Yesterday I went to move her into his shop , started her up and she was purring like a kitten. I cant explain why it wasnt racing at hight rpm. It was doing that when I shut her off the day before. I pulled the throttle up and down and she acted perfectly. My buddy thought that maybe it could have been a chunk of crud in the carb, could that have been the cause? Id like to hear everyones response or if anything simular has happened. All I know is that Im glad it wasnt that %$#@&*%$#$%$ Timing Chain. Thanks in advance ,,, Barry

I stick by what I said re throttle linkage and crud in the fuel valve in your earlier posting - including the "with a bit of luck she just wanted to liven up your day" comment :)

Glad it sorted itself out - but if it does it again, switch off and find the problem before playing with the throttle lever - it may be a subtle problem.
