Hello,
Recently i just bought some farm implements and am trying to find their history, whether there are parts availiable, etc. I have a Type 14-AO (or AD)-28 plow No 136939. It is in pretty decent shape, I wonder if there are any user manuals out there for it..... ..or when it was made?

The type 14-AO plow is the basic 2 bottom plow H. Ferg. made during the 1940's and 1950's. There were many many of these made and parts are fairly easy to get. Mold boards, shins, and shears are all available commercially. Although the shears are of a modern style now and not the dropped tooth style of the past.

There is an AO plow owner manuals. I got one at auction for $5.00.

Hope this helps.
Jeff

Hey, Jeff! in reply to Jeff-oh, 12-08-2004 05:20:05
Are you the Jeff from Seeley's Bay, Ontario who has the points for Massey-Harris-Ferguson ploughs? Kent in NB suggested that I contact you.

I just bought a Model 72, 3 pt hitch, three bottom plough, I think it's a 14", but that is a guess.

Two of the points are bent or broken, and one coulter is only 1/3 there. I plan to pull it with a MF 35 Diesel, 38 hp.

Any leads?

Rod Croskery, soon to be in Forfar, Ontario.

There are still shares made with the drop tooth, some styles only in cast iron and some styles only in steel.
