Hi Jeff-OH ... I saw the photos you posted of a position control bracket taken at the FENA in July this year.
Any ideas how this would work and were there any parts not shown.

Sorry, I was out for the holidays.

If you are talking about the single bracket, I was told it was a mounting bracket for a sycle bar cutter. (that is all there is just a place to connect the top link other than the depth controlo spring) The guys on the -N board chided me for not recognizing it... but... did concede that if you remove the depth control from the system then (i.e. by not connecting to it) then you would gain come position control. I am not 100% sure how this works.

The friction position control is pretty slick in my opinion.

Go to "Parts & Pieces" on the sidebar of this page and do a search for "position control". You will find the device in question, complete with drawings and pictures of the device. You can build your own if you have the materials and the skill to do it. If not check out the "Zane Thang", you can order one for $80 and be done with it.
Good Luck
and MERRY CHRISTMAS
