Thanks for the quick replys. Is the switch illustrated in YT parts the one that mounts upside down in the clutch housing to be activated by a pushrod from the gearshift lever.

No I believe that is the manual starter push button that would be by you steering column Which switch are you exactly needing? The cut out switch or the start switch?

Ed thanks for your reply. My tractor is fitted with a switch inside of the housing below the battery box. This switch is almost a look alike of the one illustrated in YT parts page. This is mounted in an inverted position and attached to a steel cover plate which is bolted to the top of the clutch housing with four 5/16" capscrews.in other words the button is inside with the terminal studs looking up on the outside. The transmission shifter cover is marker w/ an S to indicate start which is also a neutral point. When the lever is moved to the S position it activates a push rod thru a cantilever to press the start button inside the housing. All of this is to prevent one from standing on the ground and being runover while starting if the tractor happens to be in gear.In other words you must start while sitting on the tractor.Hence called safety start switch. Maybe I have an oddball or maybe an UK model.

Hello Ol Chief

Seen one on Ebay the other day, don't know if it is still there or not, or go to the parts section on the Ferguson page. They have one for a little over $15, hope this helps!

GOD BLESS,
jim
