I just purchased a 1950 TO20. My wife says that the one her dad had when she was a kid had footpads. Mine does not. Were they an optional item, or did they come stock on all tractors?
Thanks in advance for you help.

Art,
I show these as original equipment in my 1949 Ferguson parts manual. They are called "step plates" part number TO-16450-1 R.H. TO-16451-1 L.H. Try eBay, I had good luck at getting a pair for mine there. If you don't have them, you will also need the rear step plate bracket.

Pretty sure they were extras on the early tractors then they started fitting them as standard later, you can still buy them no problem.

Thanks John,
Are they properly called footpads, or is there a more correct term that I should use as I search for them?

The correct name for them is FOOTPLATE, you can get them on this site here (Click on H.Ferguson at the top of the page) or order from your local tractor dealer, They are supplied by "Sparex" and the part numbers are:- S42614 Left & S Right I am not sure if they are complete with the rear bracket or not, I have seen them advertised as an extra, so check if they do come complete ready for fitting. On this site they put the "S" after the number, just to confuse you. There are other companies who make and supply them but I have no names.
