I have been having trouble recently engaging my hydraulics, so I have decided not to disengage them until I can find time to try to fix whatever is wrong with the lever. So I have been doing my driveway with my blade and kept the snowblower parked. But last night I had too much snow to blade, plus I had to get rid of the snowbanks I had created, so I decided to try the blower. My '52 TEA had been sitting for about a week, but when I fired her up, I immediately unhooked the bar that connects the top of the blade to the back of the tractor (I belive this is the 3rd point of the 3 point hitch). As soon as it was unhooked, the 3PH began to rise. The PTO was engaged and the lever was in the "fully down" position. I lifted the blade so that all it's weight was on the hitch, but it wouldn't go down. With me still holding the blade up, we reconnected the upper bar and as as soon as it was connected, the hitch began to lower. It's as if that upper bar controls a relief valve. Anyways, I did my driveway with the blade, and when I finished, with everything fully warmed up, I again disconnected the upper bar and again, the hitch rose to the fully up position (the lever was in the fully down position) Guys, I need my snowblower tonight because its still snowing here and I have no room left to push this snow - I have to throw it. And I will never be able to connect the blower unless the 3PH is fully down. I have posted this problem a couple of times before and received several responses, but I don't recall anyone saying what the problem is or what I can do about it. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON HOW I CAN KEEP THAT DAMN 3 POINT HITCH FROM RISING SO I CAN HOOK UP MY SNOWBLOER AND DO MY DRIVEWAY TONIGHT? Thanks in Advance Gary
