Good Morning Everyone
Last night I was back at my local Massey Ferguson Dealer, ( he called me to say that he got in a new shipment of the famous Over-riding-coupler's, so I was back having a look at them ) Anyway as I pulled in to the dealer ship I noticed a grey Fergy sitting in the used tractor row. I went over and noticed it was the exact same as mine ( TEA-2085 ) it was to dark to see the serial number. As I was standing there looking at it I noticed that all the tires were very small in height compared to mine. My question, did these tractors come with a standard size tire from the factory. My tractor tires , both front and rear are, wider, and taller. Thanks as allways,,,, Barry

Hey Barry, are you sure you weren't looking at my 2080? It better not be in the used tractor row! It is up there though, along with my new and working TO-35. Neil

Most of the tractors that went to Canada and USA were fitted with 11 x 28 rears and 600 x 16 fronts, but you could have 10 x 28 and 400 x 19 if you used the tractor for row crop work as they didn't disturb the plants as much

Well, some of these tractors came with bicycle tires on the rear, but the problem with these was, the weight of the tractor sunk the tires right up to the axle in mud. They also came with monster mudder tires like what "BIG FOOT" uses. The problem with these was that poor little fergy did not have the internal poop to turn these behemoths. So to answer your original question.... "I don't really know" I hope this helps.

You know how those oil filter wrenches work, the ones with the sheet metal band to go around the filter?

The chainsaw brake is the same, only in reverse.

According to the driver's handbook tyres fitted at the factory were 10x28, but I have seen 11x28 and 12x28 fitted as replacements for the originals. Obviously these were wider and, depending on soil conditions would give better traction.
