where is a good place to buy a clutch kit for this, its a 1952 to30, i researched a little and have seen to different models for this. also what is the easiest way to replace this, i might have to do it in a dirt floor barn but might try to get it to a garage with cement to make it easier. thanks, chris

Just remember the large side of the clutch plate hub goes towards the gearbox.

Done the tractor split on gravel floor before. Not to bad. Use nice wide, heavy piece of wood under a jack when you support the tranny end so it doesn't sink into the ground. I used an engine hoist on wheels, rolled it on a couple 2X8's to pull the engine away from the tranny.
I think I got my new pressure plate off this web site, but there are several other tractor parts sites, and a local Massey dealer probably would have parts also.
As far as which clutch model you have, I don't know, but I thought the 9" Rockford clutch was the most common one on late '20's and 30's. Jerry is right get a manual. I think that clutch disk will slide on either way, but only one way is the right way.

You'll have to split the tractor which is not to difficult but there are some things to watch for, like putting a 2x4 between the block and the front axle carrier so that the engine doesn't rotate about the front axle pivot pin. Get a factory manual It has a good explanation on clutch replacement. As far as parts, shop around and look at the folks on the left side of this page. Clutches are not hard to find.
