What is the difference between a Ferguson 35 that is painted originally gray metal work with forest green power train (engine, trans and rear end) and the red metal work with gray power train(engine, trans and rear end). I have been told the forest green power train tractor was made in Canada, is this true? Thanks

I can verify that the green grey '55 is US made. I have our original 1955 that my father( deceased) bought NEW. It has 3,570 original hours on it,I also have the manure loader and 3-bottom plow and wheel weights that came with it. I love that tractor. Better than any 8N or 9N in my opinion. I just bought a 1959 TO-35 Deluxe from a man in Nebraska. Power steering and original 12volt Whoo! Whoo! Nothing like a Fergy. Other tractors 70's era MF 1080 and a 1948? TO-20 in need of TLC

Anybody have the correct paint (green and gray) for the early TO-35 or know of a paint code. I have a friend that wants to paint his TO-35 back the original colors its now red and gray....thanks much, Kelly.

No difference in them, they just started painting them all the same (Red and Grey) from 1958 so they were same colour worldwide. I have never heard that any transmissions were made in Canada before and I can't really see it happening as the tractors were built in US.

the green.gray setup was the TO-35 made only (i think) in 1955 for the better part of a year. where they were made....i dont really know. the red/gray was mostly the late 50"s early 60"s because alot of the earlier fergusons were all gray although some were gray/red. but as far as difference...not a dimes worth. in 1958 the TO-35 became the Massey-Ferguson 35 and it went from there...but for a more precise explanation maybe John(UK) will leave a message for you.

hope this helps you out

The TO-20's, TO-30's, TO-35's and the F-40's were made at the Ferguson factory in Detroit, Michigan.
