I am trying to help a friend sell her TO-35 Ferguson. She said it is a 1948, but it has to be mid fifties I think. When was this Ferguson model built? When was it changed to Massey Ferguson? Was M-F 35 different? How many horsepower is the old Fergy? I am a 100% M-M guy so closest I get to a Fergy is my 335 MM or seeing an 8N Ford now and then. This TO-35 works great, but I just don't know much about them.

As already noted, it can't be a 35 and made in '48. A quick note is the 35 has a two speed, three forward gears tranny, for a total of six forward gears. The Fergusons made in '48 had four forward gears.

They are nice tractors. The "Deluxe" is worth a little more than the "Special." The Deluxe has a two stage clutch. Depress half way and tractor stops. Depress all the way and PTO stops.

Can"t be a "48 as the -35 was not made until "54. The MF-35 is basicly the same tractor. The Ferguson line and the Massey-Harris line ended in 1959 when all models became MF"s. The TO-35 has about 33 HP. But I could not find the Neb. Test results.

Where is this one located?

Here is the SN list by year...

Thanks! I only have my MM serial numbers. This one is located near Battle Creek, MI. I will look up the serial number. The gal said it was a 1948 because of the Patent dates on the tag. It's a neat little tractor and I used to help her spread horse manure and brushhog with it as a Jr. High School kid years ago.
