I need a tach for a 1956 to-35. Good used working??? Also, when I run tractor hard...Exhaust manifold will have a dull glow. The tractor runs awesome and starts easy and the temp on the gauge never gets too high....Any input??? Thank you in advance.....

Do you have a temperature gauge? If Not you should get one, to make sure she does not overheat on you.

I installed a new gauge and it stays right around 170-180 degrees.

I am sure that is within range, hope others will have some input on that. My TO 35 rarely gets obove 140, but than I rarely over work mine. When it is hot and I am chopping tall grass I will stop every hour or hour and half to let her cool down. Terry

It's not unusual for the exhaust manifold to have a dull glow as they do get quite hot. As long as the engine has plenty of power it would appear to be ok and not needing any alterations.
