TO35 Serial Number missing

My "new" TO35 is missing it's serial number plate. It is a gas deluxe, which I think means it is either 1958 or 1959. I see in my parts manual that there were modifications at various serial numbers. Were any of those obivious in terms of trying to narrow down the range of this tractor's age/serial number?
Is the number on the key (180292M1) just a part number or could that be a clue to the serial number?

Look in the area around the oil filler for the gearbox and in the rear gutter of the fuel tank, on some tractors they stamped the serial number there too, which was very useful only not all tractors have this for some reason. The number on the key is only a part number.

Hi
Saw you’re posting on your tractor; I have an attachment I can send you that asks lots of questions for you to find the answers to and send back.
From your replies I should be able to give you the information you are looking for.

As most of these tractors are about 50 years old, parts may have been replaced and even new engines fitted, therefore the more question you answer, you will give me a better chance of ID it for you

I work out of original Ferguson books and information that I have gathered over the years which give reference to all models built in England up to the MF65 (many models were exported) also I have records on tractors built in Detroit and classified as TO-20, 30, 35

Please let me know if you would like some help

Bob, could you send me this attachment. I think I also have a TO35 gas deluxe. I thought mine was about a 56 or 57 model.

The number on the key is just a part number.

There may be stampped numbers in the axle housings that indicate the date they were cast. Assembly would be with in months of that date. I am not sure if they were still doing this in the late 50"s

Jeff
