Thanks just wanted to let you know that I got the valves unstuck, soaked them a few times a day with PB blaster, and today went out and played with them, the #1 popped up with mimimun pressure .# 4 was a different story, had to work on it a little more, then push it ina nd pry it out again, but it is running now, except I have to redo the carb, she ran for a few seconds and died, so at least I know I have a start,,

my second question is this , there is a cable going into the right side of the transmission that is operated from a cable handle on the dassh,, any idea what this is??,, I never saw one before, I looksed at my others and they dont have it,, I can get a picture if it helps. pat

It sounds as though you have a Sherman reduction or step up transmission fitted to your tractor in the clutch housing and that cable controls it. It's a good thing to have, can be very useful. Once you have had it running, even for a short time you will be able to get it going again now and leave it running to free everything off.

Only The Ferguson Epicyclic box makes the tractor longer, all the others fit within the original dimensions. For more information about the Sherman boxes, you may like to try the following site. There will be nothing in the manual because it isn't a genuine Ferguson part or option.
